We are constantly inspired by our beautiful, talented, wonderful clients. But we’ve also noticed that sometimes the model, actor or performer can create obstacles in their own path. Don’t let these excuses keep you from reaching your potential. Perfection How many times have we heard a parent say, “She would model but…” and then fill in the blank with things like, “She’s not tall enough, or small enough.” Together, we have 50 years of experience in this industry between us and in that time we have seen every look, size, shape and personality work within the industry. Don’t decide what the agents are looking for. Poise yourself in the best way possible and build off your strengths. Proximity We both grew up in small towns, so we know how it feels to live outside of the action. This is a common excuse for why some of our potential clients choose not to pursue their passion. Don’t let your longitude and latitude corrupt your positive attitude! Models and actors can grow up anywhere. Yes, you may be required to travel- but that’s part of the fun! Plus, these days many agency meetings and castings are conducted virtually, so this presents less of a problem for those in rural areas. Availability In our experience, the best talent we’ve worked with tend to have so many other things going on like sports, dance, cheer or pageants. As Benjamin Franklin once said, “If you need something done, ask a busy person.” Having a lot going on is no good excuse for abandoning your passion. If getting signed, attending castings and taking bookings is a priority, we know you’ll find a way to work it into your schedule.
